« Saudi Aramco » has signed three agreements for the construction and operation for double production factories for energy.

Saudi Aramco recently signed three new agreements with some companies Marubeni of Japan, and the Japanese, JCC, Aljomaih energy and water, to build and operate efficient stations in cogeneration of energy, beside oil and gas processing stations in each of Bqaiq, hawiyah, and Ras tanura.
The conventions were at the company's headquarters in Dhahran in the presence of Saudi Aramco officials and officials of these companies shows Saudi Aramco's commitment to use efficient energy in their work, so the new co-generation to electricity and steam will cover the need at these facilities, as well as the new dual output terminals will significantly increase the operational efficiency of Saudi Aramco and will produce a total of 900 megawatts of electricity, and nearly 1,500 tons of steam per hour with startup, in addition, it is expected full operation for the project by 2016.
Ahmad Al-khowaiter Executive Director for new business development at Saudi Aramco explained, that this project is an important and distinctive projects in Saudi Aramco and the region, aimed at improving the efficient use of energy resources, adding that dual output terminals for electric energy to industrial facility is more efficient in energy use compared with those that rely on traditional benefits can go beyond meeting the needs of Saudi Aramco electricity technologies with high efficiency in energy consumption and environmental protection.
He said that the three partners would build new stations for co-generation of energy and it will run for 20 years, providing electrical power and steam for three industrial facilities of Saudi Aramco, and Saudi Aramco will own 50% of these new stations.
The production technique of steam and electricity is considered more efficient in power consumption compared to the traditional way to engender; employing this technique is less fuel with low emissions, thereby improving environmental performance and production technique of double thermal efficiency over 80%, ranging from thermal efficiency of conventional generating between 40 and 50%.
